I could have continued having the previous post as the topmost post in my blog, but I guess I gotto hand it to these people:

The vocalist is HAAWWTT!!!

Other than that, their songs are great. The female vox tentatively conjures up an image of Shirlyn from the Unexpected, but listen again and find that she's very much her own woman.

HAAWWTT Woman!

Here's the myspace to The UnXpected, with Shirlyn Tan.

Another girl-vocal band! Lunarin.

Kudos to these bands for getting it so tight, I feel I'm enjoying being hardly able to control the squeeze.

But, but, why does it sound so "Singaporean"? Is this what all of our best commercial bands all sound like?

Aight here are other bands that are Singaporean that I think are just fabulous.

Why do I always introduce things that have been around for so long??

Aight this guy I know personally. He's wonderful composer, songwriter, producer all on the computer. Singing? Power also lah.

Who said the local music scene must totally be about English-speaking/ singing/ bitchin'/ musically-styled bands?

Can't we be a bit closer to something that we can call our roots?

When I have a band, I'm gonna have all these dialect and expletives and Singlish all around hanging so no one is gonna doubt that we are Chinese Singaporean, not Chinese Taiwanese, not Ang-moh, not banana man, but

Sin Ka Po Tng Lang.
