Any wonder why Clark Kent chooses spectacles as part of his disguise. The whole of the day I was on spectacles, and 2-thirds of the people I know who pass by me didn't bother to call me.
I think there's something against bespectacled people in everyday life. If you dun know a person who's wearing specs, you'd most probably not bother to look at him/her a second time. But if the person's not wearing specs, there seems to be a tendency to notice how this person looks like, what he/she's wearing, and oh! It's our very friend!
Hehe I think spectacles are a good way to slip through the throngs of people in the walkways unnoticed.
