And i did see god carrying a guitar (i don't care if it's a pipa by popular belief). I couldn't get a decent picture, and my prayer should go something like this.
Dear god, please imbue me with the strength and zeal to pursue my musical interests and dreams. I know that you have sent many a person to dissuade and even pour cold water on me, which i believe some will do after this post, and thank you for allowing me to question and evaluate my priorities throughout my life. Besides, I pray that my mind be active and powerful enough to constantly seek fresh ideas and sounds and link them to both stale mainstream and avant-garde futuristic spheres in music. That said, I wish that I'd never have to agonise and squirm over the latest equipment issues, and that should these issues arise, that I'd have the ability to acquire the necessary.
I don't know about you but I think it's a pretty decent prayer. Lemme see if I can find a close representation of guitar god.
Unfortunately I cannot. The current ones on the internet do not do justice to the actual photo i used to have before my comp crashed. But it's still cool.

I did wish that it was quieter and less crowded.
So there was a morning of god or God or 神 and prayer. Met up with Phaedre and James for a short jam. It did feel weird sitting and playing, but the focus was on showing each other what eac person's got, and not jamming.
Then James brought out his BOSS RC-2 looper and the studio went breathtakenawayly quiet.
This bugger turned some knobs, stepped on the pedal and instantly there was powerfully layered guitar tracks sliming out of the amplifier. Slimeball.
But is good. This means that dear James can take on two, three, or even five guitar parts at once. How exciting is that thought??
I can just blast away shit in my recordings. What chord harmonics, what octave riffs, what not...
So it was fun. I thought James had very nice ideas that were vastly different from mine. What a powerful experience...
And I, being the only *ucker who did not bring his instrument but only his PS2 box, thought that they both look very cute below.
Especially Phaedre. The girl has a bass extends to over her head by some centimetres. :P
The Orange amps at Yamaha were solid i think. Tone is damn nice lah... but my marshall cuts through very well too. Just that sometimes bass ain't enough.
Seems like my latest recording has met with some approval amongst many other disapprovals. Yes the song is not complete... and I'm recording it witha measly integrated soundcard... haven't got 5.1 speakers or power monitors not power recording headphones that cover your whole ear (I think Thomas has one). That's why u need to bring it to the recording studio.
Had a discussion with Chang on production. According to him, a producer mainly takes an acoustic track, listens and drink coffee, decides what plastic model parts to attach to the track, and hires people to do it. Then later in discussion it seems that bands like iron maiden who have already recorded their shit are able to have producers to "produce" the track by adding in add-ons and plugins and appendixes.
So if I complete my song, will producers be able to do shit with it?
I dunno about local recording studios like those under Leonard Soosay and Nick Chan. I think u record, they mix and add in an additional effect here and there, but dun really bother with hiring tailors and putting clothes onto the recorded track like aunties do on their puppies. Chihuahua anyone?
The weather is unbearably warm and humid these weeks. Yet when I open the front door, there is always a strong blast of wind into my face. I think we should perhaps open the windows and let such human-forsaken fresh air into our dreary lives.
