today

I went to two jamming sessions.

The first was mine. We had Hanes as a guest, and throughout we lost count, we lost time, we rewind and rewind and rewind, we fuck up, we blush, we shake our heads,

but we had fun. Hahahahahahaha. We are just... some small steps away from making the song consistent. One is our individual parts of course. The other is my lyrics.

Seriously, and absolutely honestly, I get cold feet when it comes to writing lyrics. Not only did I flunk my poetry unseen exams, I can't rhyme words for shit. And usually my lyrics tend towards the slow, emo emo kind of songs.

So can anyone tell me how to write lyrics for fast songs?

The next jam i went to was me tagging along Jason. Was his covers band...

Somehow the energy in front was better than towards the end. Somehow the front was really the deal. Somehow, the band was quite quiet.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not in any self-exalted position to make sanctimonious judgements on other bands.

I'm making a judgement as a music fanatic, and a regular gig-goer.

You can really see that these guys aren't really enjoying themselves, nor are they hating it. They're just... there to kill time.

Then suddenly you see they suddenly change instruments. From then on.... it's a slide down.... down.. down...

Long dragged? yes... Tight? Yes... Kick balls? No....

It's said that originals dun mean much in the market... but i think covers just cover what you really are truly capable of.

Which means I'm biased lah.

Hahahaha.

But seriously, I'm listening to the recording of our jam today, and I've reached our 2nd try on Sour Emotion a.k.a the slow song, and I

and I

and I

just felt, just felt

felt, inspired.

Thanks guys.

You guys must come back.
